Massive Traffic
OK, many of you want to know how to generate traffic to your sites like the big boys. Well, this is the most powerful technique in the past several years every created. The strange part is almost no one talks about it. If they do, they tend to leave out a lot of information. In this video I walk you through step by step and even setup a campaign to do it. I think you’ll like it.
Post your comments and let us know your thoughts!

Great video, Armand! I heard you talk about the placement to specific websites on a Monday call for affiliates and was intrigued. It really helps, though, to see it done in a video. Now I feel I can go out and start placing ads this way.
Thanks so much!

You mentioned at the beginning of the video that you were going to show us how to bump the top 3-4 ads off of the Adsense Ads on those sites. I was really looking forward to that part.
Not sure if that was on purpose as a marketing tactic .
Do not get me wrong, the video was incredible, as are all of them. It was just like you left the potatoes off of the plate of meat.

I really liked this video. There was a lot of very useful information, and as soon as I get paid on Monday, I’m going to start. Wow! Another timely and over-delivered lesson! I’d heard about site-placement from others but your taking the time to show us how to do it specifically was so valuable - especially the picking the top 10 or 20 for your keyword and then how to ad the specific URL later.
The one thing I didn’t pick up though was how that would make your ad the ONLY ad on the site.
Thanks for taking the time from your holiday weekend and helping us all out. I can’t wait to test that out for my membership site.

Does the ‘one ad’ trick work only if the CPM is placed at ‘excellent chance’?
Also, I was a bit unclear about the difference between CPC & CPM… isn’t CPM just views, and therefore its possible to have actually no click through (just impressions)? I know for a fact that I need more clarification on this…

The whole concept of CPM and site placement advertising was new for me - and looks great, but the tip about editing the URL to only display on the specific page is pure gold!
Just to think of how diluted (and more expensive!) it would be to use the google “default” sitewide URL makes me shiver. In the words of a famous elder statesman, “DOH!”.

I’m in Sydney and the search strings that come up in the top 10 rankings (esp. the non sponsored sites) are local to me. How do i follow your formula and identift the top US sites from here and maret to them from afar?

Hi Armand,
This is truly a “competitive advertising break through” that levels the playing field for me. After reading a plethora of information on CPC advertising and seeing the rates that are bid and paid for it truly seemed virtually impossible to compete for well placed ads for targeted traffice.
This technique makes it possible to acquire well placed ads for targeted traffic at an affordable price. As a nubian to internet marketing, you’ve eliminated the “smoke and mirrors” that I’m use to seeing on methods of driving targeted traffic to my web site.
You’ve provided the step-by-step method instruction of the how-to-do-it that is so frequently glossed over.
I anxiously await the release of the IME on January 18, 2008! I’m confident that there will be many more pearls of wisdom. Thank you so much. Happy New Year to you and your family!!!

Now I have the confidence to increase the daily budget and test it further.
For those who would like to know how to kick out all other ads, Armand has already answered this question in the highlighted spot of this comment area. For those who did not see it, I am repeating it here with his own words in capital letters:
BELIEVE IT OR NOT, IT HAPPENS AUTOMATICALLY WHEN YOU CHOOSE CPM (cost per thousand impressions) INSTEAD OF CPC (cost per click). YOU DON’T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING. IT DOES IT FOR YOU. SIMPLE ISN’T IT!!!

I have to be honest Armand, if this is as simple as you’re saying it is…..I am going to have to close shop and totally restructure my marketing plan. Until recently, I’ve been very confused with internet marketing. Right now I am in the beginning stages of “CPC” with Google and I’ve received a couple of decent leads with only a few click thru…….But what your talking about might just be the “Holy Grail of Google Marketing”! I am definitely going to try this out and let you know my results.

Hi Armand,
check out my testimonial since watching the massive traffic video,
I am in the share trading industry and to get click you have to have a bid up to $5 per click at least to get a click on Google ad words…..Since doing what you showed us on the video (Massive traffic) I have only spent $16 for 8 people opted in, in one day, I was lucky to get 1-2 a day..
So I went from maybe 1 opt in to now 8 opt-ins a day… and only spending $16 a day….
In total I am now looking at getting Not 50 opt-ins a month but a massive 224 opt ins a month that is almost 5000 people a year
Armand look how powerful this information is
Once again thank you for every thing

1.) Couldn’t you get impressions without clicks?
Answer: Yes, that is a possibility, but the idea is to write an ad which is compelling enough to get the click.
2.) Shouldn’t new people just getting started use CPC rather than CPM?
Answer: Well, here’s the facts. CPM will lower your total costs by about 90%. Meaning with a straight campaign comparing the two, I paid only a 10th of what I would with a CPC campaign.
Look at what John Howell writes above in the comments after doing this for only a day or two.
3.) How do I get the big ads?
It happens automatically. You don’t have to do anything. Sweet, huh?
I think that’s it for now.

Armand… Great presentation, your videos are well produced, easily understand and the kicker… hey, they’re free. But in the beginning of this video about CPM, you made it sound very easy to “kick off” (your words), the other ads within the ad box, but then you didn’t touch on the subject again.
You also stated that by paying for impressions you will reduce your ad spending by 90%. Well that’s only true IF you maintain a certain percentage of click throughs, right? If your CPC is $5, you would pay $500 for 100 visitors. In order to get the same 500 visitors with CPM, you would need 10,000 impressions IF you can maintain a 1% click through - then, yes, that would be a 90% savings. But that 1% click through - now I haven’t yet tested it, but I’d venture a guess that 1% would not be so easy if your ad is 1 out of 4 or 5.
Please tell us how to get those other ads out of the ad box… then I’d say a 1% click through would definitely be attainable.
I would also love your opinion about the newest form of advertising to hit the internet… I’m being told that it could become bigger even than Adwords. There’s a short post at IncomesProfit.com
[reply this comment]
January 2nd, 2008 at 10:03 am
The other ads are “KICKED OFF” all automatically.
You gave a pretty neat scenario here. So let’s take your numbers and work them in with some answers.
First of all… since I’ve answered your question of being the only ad in that place, you can see we’re going to get a much higher click through.
You stated… $5 CPC with 100 visitors which equals $500.
Now with CPM let’s assume that you ONLY have a 1%, I think you’ll do so much better with a little work on ad copy, but let’s go with 1% for this example.
Let’s use 10,000 impressions, you won’t be paying $5 per CPM you’ll most likely pay $1-$3 and even that’s pretty high.
So let’s use $3 CPM just for example sake. So that would be $3 x 10 which equals $30 for the same 100 clicks.
So we are at $30 compared to the $500 in your scenario.
Let’s do another scenario.
Let’s use 100,000 impressions at $3 CPM. $3 x 100 = $300 but here’s what just happened. You just received 1,000 visitors with only a 1% clickthrough rate, and you’re still paying less than your $500 scenario above.
Just as with anything on the Internet, it’s all about ad copy. The better the copy, the more visitors you receive. With this method, ad copy is even more critical since you are paying by the impression.
Hope this helps.
Armand

Hi Armand,
Thank you for all of this free education.
I implemented a placement targeted campaign today and I have
a problem that I hope you can answer.
For the most part everything went exactly as you spelled it
out in the video. However, there was one site that I selected
that passed through the first round when using the site’s home
page, but when I got to the step where I changed it to the
individual page I want my ad to appear on, I get this message:
Some of your placements are not accepted for the following reason:
The website information you’ve listed does not conform to our formatting guidelines.
Please modify your placements.
Has this ever happened to you?
If so, can you advise me?
Note- In an attempt to correct the problem I tried every
conceivable url format, such as with the www. and without it,
with http// and without it etc.
Thank you again for all of your help.

Well, I have run into another issue. I have a few mortgage websites and when looking for websites that contained adwords I came up with zero! At least for the 1st page of results. Seems like no one in the mortgage business wants to show adwords… they are desperately trying to keep their visitors on their own site.
Any comments or ideas?

Try several different keywords. Your keywords are probably too generic. Look for variations. Try Wordze.com to use as a great tool for keyword research.

Yes, I have run into that issue. For some reason, every once in a while, when change the URL to advertise on, Google will kick it out like it did with you. There is not reason for this as far as I know. When this happened with me, I just remove that site.

Armand,
I am very impressed with your building traffic video and it sounds great. I’m new as an internet marketer, but from all I had read prior to this, CPM was DEAD. In fact I had the impression that CPM was like trying to reinvent the 8track in a digital world and you’d have to be nuts! If CPM is so great why has almost everyone abandoned it in favor of CPC?

Thanks again Armand,
What fantastic info!
I’ve followed your advice, step by step, using ‘forced’ opt-in page etc. Of those who’ve opted in, I’ve experienced an amazing 15% sales conversion! And I’m receiving some really amazing product testimonials to use in my follow up material. WOW! I’m thrilled to see internet marketing working for even me - a former skeptic!
So I really do want to boost the traffic to my site. However, it wasn’t clear to me in your video exactly how I’d ‘kick out’ the 3-4 other advertisers on the NY Times site (in the diet example you used). Is it simply by bidding higher and higher CPM until an ‘excellent chance’ was attained (in your example $3.00)?
Nonetheless, I’ve certainly received more than enough info to get started on what was previously a ‘black box’ for me.
Thank you so much Armand!

One other thing, since you know how to do those type of ads, I’ll bet 50,000 impressions that you know how to write impressive and high converting ads. Am I right or what?
I know I’m right.

Armand, I always wondered how those big ads got on there!
I had heard of site-targeting but you made it so clear. Thank you. I too had heard to stay away from CPM and I have to say it’s kind of counter-intuitive to be willing to pay for impressions rather than clicks, but so far it really does appear to be much less per click.
I watched the video last night and stayed up late to get it set up. It took Google a little while to get things in place — I saw everything happening this morning. It was really amazing to see how many high PR sites do have Adsense blocks high on their sites. Yeehaw!
One tip to folks — do NOT freak out at how high you may have to bid to get “excellent chance” of showing. In real competitive markets, just try it.
Do what you have to for a couple days BECAUSE when you get your stats back you’ll see that your average CPM is NOWHERE near that high scary number. At least that’s what happened to me in the real competitive world of ‘make money with ebay.’ I don’t know why, but keep an eye on it and you may be pleasantly surprised.

Is it that you create such a big ad (with blank lines, etc.) to make it so big it takes up the whole space? Wouldn’t that upset Google’s rules?

But for a relative newbie like me, you showed a daily budget of $50 as an example using this technique - which could potentially cost $1,500 per month. Given the potential cost - and granted, it can get tons of traffic to your site - it * seems * that this would be geared towards more seasoned marketers already in the $$$.
Would you agree with this - or what am I missing?

Andy, use a budget that gets you the right amount of traffic that you can convert to sales.
If you’re paying 3.00 per 1000 impressions, that gives you around 16,000 impressions for 50 dollars. If your add pulls at a 1% CTR, you’ll get 160 visitors. If your site can convert to sales at 2%, you’ll have approximately 3 sales. If you’re selling at 30.00 dollar product, you’ve made 90 dollars sales and 40 dollars in profit.
In a month you’ve paid 1500 but you’ve sold 2700 dollars in product and made 1200 in profit. I’d take 1200 a month.
Just apply the above to your site and products. If you can get the CPM down and you have a more expensive product to sell, you could see a much better profit.

Great video about the traffic over CPM.
Everybody is telling us to stay away from CPM, but the way you explained it, it can really make some good money.
To remember is RELEVANCY and that traffic doesn’t necessary means sales. So you must be relevant with all here, or you lose money.
As well Google don’t let you use anymore cloaked links or Affiliate links, so you must bypass this over your own domain and redirect through PHP.
Many thanks for those insides, very valuable information

Hi Armand:
I have decided that I love you. Mac is a nickname for Michele. I have been on the Internet now for about a month trying to figure out which money-making programs are worth anything at all. All I am finding are a bunch of people fighting with each other about whose program is the best. They are putting up websites claiming that the other guys program is junk, but of course “their” program is the greatest. I don’t know who Felushio is, but “everybody” is mad at “him.” He evidently put up a website called Federal Reviews and reviews other websites and recommends some, only the websites he recommends seem to be all owned by him. I never laughed so hard in my life. I’m serious. It’s a war zone out there. How is anyone supposed to be able to tell who is honest, and who is not?
Anyway, after reading all this baloney, I have come to the conclusion that you are a pretty good guy. I have learned more from your free videos than anything else that I have read or tried, and certainly more than I found on any of those hotshot websites.
God bless you Darlin, and I mean that. I want the program. Where is it?
Mac

Great video, congrats Mr Morin.
Anyway, a question is unanswered: how we choose to be the only one to display our AD in the google’s square instead of being in competition with other 3 as you said at the beginning of the video?
Thanks and congrats again
Angelo

It happens automatically. You don’t have to do anything except choose CPM as the method.

Wohoooooo!
Awesome, truly awesome. Armand, I’ve added you in my private (hidden on my hardrive) guru’s list.
This is what I call a “killer traffic tehnique”!
I’m a seo gy and already made some sales with adwords, but got slaped (happily! I became a seo master…). Let see if I can slap Google back with your technique…
The best Adowrds Technique I’ve seen on 2008 by far! (ok, ok we are just starting…)

I can’t see the very top of video when you click, very interesting though!! Can you come over and do it for me for a small fee?? Just kidding. Can’t wait for 3 days and 24 hours, this is the last vidio I will purchase, I am so tired of all the crap online, and sales pitches. This better be good!

Wow, this technique is brilliant! I have always been scared to use adwords. Your technique makes me totally confident to start using adwords now for laser targeted traffic! You just got a new fan from this video! I’ll be watching out for IME for sure. Thanks a ton for putting this info out, most would have charged an arm and a leg for this!

Hello Armand,
Thanks for making these videos for us with great content and so much detail. I liked this video very much, just as I have all the others I’ve watched so far.
Armand, I was hoping you would show us how the ad would be big though. Is it because we would be the only one with targeted placement? I want to know how we will have just our ad showing in place of those 3 or 4 like you showed in the first part of this video.
Thanks again for making and sharing all these videos with us. I for one really appreciate it. I look forward to meeting you in person in 2008 and working with you at some point in time.
Thanks,
Edward Moore
